Hawks agree. Get a good defender in Ariza to go along with Howard and Smith

can there be some public reasoning as to why this was rejected? It looks ok enough for this to go through.

I know im not on trade committee but i agree. This deal wont impact the league at all even if it is unfair (which its not) the best player is zaza pachulia haha

ok i will try to make it short
1. amnesty cut is the only tool that could help gm to control their finance. it is proved that gm will need later when they are in financial crisis as they lose too much, or they need cash to camp in first season ( yea from SOMERANDOMGUYS LEAGUE). hence, the amnesty cut should be valued highly later. cash / picks/ amnesty cut will be valued as gold later when gm really read the CBA 2. the expirings are worth for ariza already

Hawks situation is pretty unique though given all of their expirings, and they can't use the amnesty on a player that was signed after the file was made by sheddy, so they're better off moving the amnesty and getting a vet like Ariza rather then wasting it. They could trade for a player to amnesty, but this is probably the best possible financial situation the Hawks will be in for the rest of the sim leagues life time (especially after Dwight/Smoove resign). I don't think many team put in alot of effort to spend alot of money after spending it the 1st time around (we're talking 5/6 years here, if it goes 10+ then maybe, but depends on the GM).
I also think Ariza is slightly being overlooked here, Ariza isn't a star, but B+ in defense isn't very common around here (from what I have seen). Hawks are building a very tight nit defensive team and they're a good defense SG away from being one of the top teams in that category after this deal. It's not a bad price to pay for something that will probably never be used.
Worse case scenario, Wizards use the amnesty on Okafor, gain a little more cap and sign Smoove/Dwight (which would be funny) don't think there's a strong enough chance of that happening.

the best for me is amnesty cut for a pick or article camp, something like this anyway
