sometimes a rebuilding team needs to decide whether or not they actually want to use their pick, I had no interest in using the 1st this year, the team has cap this offseason and I have enough young talent, we need to start winning so we can peak FA's interest and that's what this move does (hopefully). Gordon has had a subpar year this year, but I'm willing to gamble a little here in hopes that he gets better. Animu is also a gamble as he will be a RFA this year, yet it's worth it if he can prove to be a good glue guy going forward. All the other players I'm not all that attached to, I was kind of hoping to resign Calderon this offseason, but I'm probably better off giving Knight the reigns.
Hopefully Tyreke Evans starts regretting signing that extension with Boston
